Last month, I had the absolute JOY of being the official photographer for Camp Gonzaga 2025!
My best friend Michelle (@themosaicwaytravelco) is an entrepreneur with a serious gift for fostering community & bringing out the best in those around her. This summer, she coordinated a weekend-long camp for Catholic young adults- and it was so incredible to watch this group come together and see community form in real-time.
The trip was hosted at Our Lady of the Fields in Brighton, MI, and it was such a treat to photograph the gorgeous grounds there. One of the absolute highlights of my weekend, both spiritually & professionally, was our morning rosary walk on the camp trail as the sun came up!
We had the best time getting to know one another as our group navigated challenges like a wall scale, low ropes course, giant swing, and zip line! The camp staff were so much fun and guided us through many creative and thought-provoking team-building activities.
In our downtime, we made friendship bracelets, played more than a few rounds of mafia, sat around the bonfire, and even made a Tik Tok or two ;)
We were also treated to live praise and worship music, as well as Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, both nights of our stay. It was such a gift to be able to take that quiet time with the Lord as we truly took a step back from our busy lives. A special shoutout to the wonderful priests at Divine Child in Dearborn for sticking around to hear our group's confessions!
Finding community post-grad is so much more challenging than many realize; so to have the opportunity to spend a weekend with like-minded and passionate young adults was so life-giving.
The group has stayed very well-connected since, and it has been so much fun keeping up on everyone's lives, walking with them through uncertainty and prayer requests, and celebrating their wins!
